Thanks for the suggestion. Of course, you can always use the uncommitted inputs on the big 44-pin IO connector, and then II and #ININT routine to act on the alarm. As you've seen, there's not any free pins on the 26-piun connector, but you could in theory use the limit inputs or even the home input for a repurposed Alarm input.
