In December 2013, Galil will release five new exciting options for the RIO-47300. These new options consist of three encoder input add-on boards: -QUAD, -BiSS and -SSI and two expanded digital I/O add-on boards.
The RIO-47300, released in January 2013, is a Programmable Logic Controller (PLC) with 48 high-power optically isolated digital I/O, 16 user configurable analog I/O and screw terminals (see Table 2 specifications). The digital I/O option adds 24 more inputs or outputs to the Rio-47300 bringing the total available I/O to 88, and the cost per I/O down to approximately $5.50 for quantities of 100 or more! The encoder input option allows the RIO-47300 to read up to two position sensors.
