EPICS stands for Experimental Physics and Industrial Control System. It is a set of open source, distributed software tools used extensively for scientific instruments such as particle accelerators, telescopes, and other large-scale experimental installations.

Galil is pleased to announce our latest firmware release, revision 1.2, for the DMC-40x0 and DMC-41x3.  This release provides an increase in program memory from 2000 x 80 characters to 4000 x 80 characters, and an increase in the total array elements from 16,000 to 24,000.

In December 2013, Galil will release five new exciting options for the RIO-47300. These new options consist of three encoder input add-on boards:   -QUAD, -BiSS and -SSI and two expanded digital I/O add-on boards.
